A fanstastic dry canyon in Guara available all the year, 45 minutes driving from Ainsa.

The Basender is an awesome dry canyon close to the Rio Vero canyon. It's a descent with gorges, beautiful galleries and curious rock formations.

The canyon is dry, therefore the descent is posible throughout the year . It has 5 abseils up to 15 meters, all of wich are very easy. It's a perfect canyon to learn the tecnique of the abseiling. A perfect activity for adults and families.

Important: Return by the Escaleretas Path

Normally the return of this canyon is made by the normal route, which consists of a walk up the Vero River to the parking.

Whenever is possible, we make the return by the Escaleretas path (1 hour and 15 minutes duration). It is a peculiar route with aerial cornices, crossing a natural window and vertical sections in which we will have to use the rope and the harness to progress safely.

This is the best way to end the day at the Basender canyon with fantastic views of the Vero River Canyon. The price of the Basender canyon + Escaleretas is 50€ per person.

If you want a full day activity, you can do the Portiacha canyon in the same day.
